Patronage

Patronage has always been a vital part in the creation of art. From the works of Leonardo da Vinci, Mozart and Shakespeare, the patrons behind these artists made it possible that we are able to enjoy their work today.

If you like to join our sustaining members, please contact us. We are offering exciting opportunities to learn more about how we create productions and engage directly with our artists.

As a young company with ambitious ideas for the future, we are always looking for committed Board Members to grow the company.

Below are our different levels of our sustaining memberships.

The King’s Company

$10,000+

With the ascension of James I, Shakespeare’s company, which had been been under the Lord Chamberlain patronage before, received the royal patent on May 19 1603. The patronage opened a new chapter for Shakespeare’s company and established it as the premiere company of the land. The company famously occupied the Globe Theatre and the later enclosed Blackfriars.

As a royal patron, we will be able to offer exciting insights into the company, premiere seats to all performances, high visibility in all published materials ,and exclusive content and access. We are offering free classes and workshops in public speaking, theater and Shakespeare (based on availability).

Admiral’s Company

$3,000+

After the promotion of Lord Howard to Lord High Admiral in 1585, the company became the Admiral’s Men and is considered the second most important playing troupe in the Elizabethan and Stuart eras. It occupied the Rose and the Fortune Theatres with Edward Alleyn as the star of the company who had been celebrated for the acting of the heroes of Christopher Marlowe.

As part of this tier we offer high visibility in our promotional material, 4 premium seats to all performances, discounts to all our educational programs, and first access to limited availability events.

The Queen Elizabeth’s Men were formed in 1583 at the command of her Majesty and was the premier acting company of the 1580’s. Richard Tarleton was its main star and provided the main entertainment at court. The company was significant in the development of particularly history plays and its contribution reverberate in Shakespeare’s plays.

An important company in the 1580’s and early 1590’s but had been established much earlier in the 1560’s. They were made up of acrobats, with John Symons “The Tumbler” perhaps the most famous. Later joined by Will Kempe and Thomas Pope, the company became significant in the acting of comedies with various court appearances over the years.
